Jim Reynolds开发兼执笔﹑James Burrows执导的《东邻西舍 The Neighborhood》讲述一个原本住在中西部的大好人Dave Johnson（Max Greenfield 饰，代替试映集中的Josh Lawson）举家搬到洛杉矶黑人社区后 ，这儿的人并非都欣赏他的睦邻风格，其中包括主角新邻居Calvin Butler（Cedric the Entertainer饰）。其他主演有Sheaun McKinney﹑Tichina Arnold﹑Beth Behrs﹑Marcel Spears及Hank Greenspan。。Looking for work, Aaron comes across a cryptic online ad: “$1,000 for the day. Filming service. Discretion is appreciated.” Low on cash and full of naiveté, he decides to go for it. He drives to a cabin in a remote mountain town, where he meets Josef, his cinematic subject for the day. Josef is sincere and the project seems heartfelt, so Aaron begins to film.
