1927年4月，琼崖国民党反动派发动了“四二二”反革命政变，大肆屠杀共产党人。椰子寨战斗中，临危受命的杨善集等人牺牲。王文明率剩余力量转进母瑞山。不久，特委因叛徒出卖而被破坏，主要领导人牺牲，一时琼崖革命群龙无首。冯白驹上山寻找王文明，并主持临时特委工作，相继成立了独立师和女子军特务连。敌军进剿使琼崖武装几乎损失殆尽。冯白驹率残部再上母瑞山，重开星火燎原，完成了“云龙改编”，并打响抗日第一枪，随后建立了五指山等根据地，为后来解放海南岛，做出了巨大贡献。。The story is set in the 1930s, somewhere in the mountains in Romania. It centres on Simion, a ranger who lives like a hermit in the middle of the forest. One day, he stumbles upon a beaten-up woman, Irina, and tries to find out who has hurt her. He also tries to stay away from her but fails.。Photographer Greg Nolan meets Bernice, and loses both his job and his apartment. However, Bernice manages to get him a new apartment, but it is so expensive that he has to get two full-time jobs. Nolan has trouble finding time to do them both without his bosses finding out.。
