痞子武松前往阳谷县寻找家兄武大，到景阳冈上骗吃骗喝，却借着酒意误打死一只老虎。 阳谷县人将武松簇拥回县，县太爷将他封为都头。 另一边，潘金莲与武大两夫妻正商量着如何骗钱，将目标锁定有钱却白痴的西门大官人。他们二人找到王婆，开始设计一个精细的行骗计划，而此时武松上门寻找家兄，二人害怕武松搅乱计划，所以百般隐瞒……。随着新时代的来临，曾一度显赫的京都蒔冈家慢慢开始衰败，而家中的四个女儿却仍是城中一道美丽的风景。大姐鹤子（岸恵子 饰）固守祖屋，时刻维护着家族的声誉；二姐幸子（佐久间良子 饰）性格刚烈强势，使得上门女婿贞之助（石坂浩二 饰）相形见绌；老三雪子（吉永小百合 饰）温柔贤淑，然对于自己的婚事却总迟迟未决；老四妙子（古手川祐子 饰）个性张扬开放，是一个比较西化的女孩。 妙子的绯闻闹得满城风雨，烦恼的鹤子和家人商量，决定尽早为雪子找到如意郎君，以维护门风。不过说起来容易，一向沉默不语的雪子却接连回绝了数门婚事，这倒让欣赏雪子的贞之助暗暗欢喜…… 改编自谷崎润一郎同名小说，东宝映画50周年纪念作品。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
