本剧改编自同名漫画，讲述了现在东京有70多万在日外国人，在不同语言、饮食、文化并存的“沙拉碗”大都市中，绿色头发的国际搜查警察鸿田麻里（奈绪饰）和有悲伤过去的中文译员有木野了（松田龙平饰）这对搭档拾起了日本社会即将滑落的人生。虽然风格不同，但“胃合”的两人将直面“语言”和“心灵”，由此打开了“潘多拉的盒子”…。In their last attempt to save their marriage, Sara and Óscar decide to take a short vacation in a cabin in the woods with their two children. But upon arrival, strange events corrode the tense atmosphere between them: a woman prowls the house predicting events that defy nature, which break the family from within as they confront unresolved problems from their past.。故事发生在腊月廿四，祭灶这一天。在做完祭灶准备后，馋嘴的小乎离想要偷吃祭拜灶神的灶糖，多次偷吃未果，被警告后依旧贼心不死，后被贴画中冒出的灶神吓到，了解到了祭灶由来与灶神的职责所在。。
